Treatments of vascular anomalies

The most efficient method for treatment of blood vessels, which provides exceptional results, is offered by the so-called Nd:YAG lasers.

Alterations of blood vessels are small capillary or venal networks on the nose, cheeks, chin and malformations of blood vessels of lower extremities and other body parts, with very clear differentiation of subdermal and intradermal veins, red and blue capillary networks. The causes are usually hereditary predispositions, diseases of cardiovascular system, traumatic or similar consequences of operations. In addition to the above, varicose diseases accompanying pregnancy and delivery represent main factors for alterations of blood vessels on feet skin.

Traditional methods are limited to the procedure of electrocoagulation, sclerotherapy and surgical removal of veins and blood vessels. All these methods have serial fundamental deficiencies such as occurrence of hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation (loss of melanin), allergic reactions to injected medications during sclerotherapy.

The most efficient method for treatment of blood vessels is offered by the so-called Nd:YAG lasers. Emission of this type of laser enables efficient treatment of expanded capillaries, spider angioma and small dermal venous plexus without damaging other structures.

The number of treatments depends on the type, colour, configuration and number of blood vessels. However, visible reduction of capillaries is visible after each individual treatment. Up to two treatments are usually required to achieve the result, whereby the second treatment is carried out no later than 3-4 weeks after the first treatment. In the case of a larger number of blood vessels, the results are achieved gradually with each following treatment.
